Toxic elements in Serbian sunflower honey originating from various regions

The concentrations of As, Cd, Hg, Ni and Pb were determined in fifteen sunflower honey samples collected from 9 locations the Republic Serbia during 2019. elements analysed using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Mean levels (mg kg-1) all as follows: 0.004 for 0.003 0.077 0.051 Pb. mercury content was below detection limit applied method (< 0.001 mg Hg kg-1 honey). lead level examined maximum permissible value (0.10 kg-1). highest values were: 0.096 (in Kanjiza), 0.025 As (Kikinda sample), 0.008 Cd (Senta) 0.125 originating Svrljig. None 5 toxic exceeded level.
